The Maintenance Department is responsible for repair and maintenance for all school system facilities.

 

This includes all ECS buildings: Elkin Elementary, Elkin Middle, Elkin High, Central Office, and all sports facilities.

The Maintenance Department maintains the following:

 

Electrical Maintenance Service & Repair Replace & Rebuild Regular scheduled inspections  Energy & Environmental Management Promote and encouraging energy performance Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) Preventative Maintenance  Filter checks and changes Refrigeration equipment Household ~Maintenance ~ General Repair ~ Installation        Interior & Exterior Lights Ceilings Restroom  Furniture Assembly Desks Tables Shelves Installation and/or relocating  Painting Interior & Exterior Plumbing & Boiler Maintenance Kitchen Equipment Maintenance To and From all facilities  Water Lines  Sewer Lines Combustion Equipment  Gas Lines  Boilers Waste Management Proper disposal of all recycled materials such as:  Electrical Computer Cardboard Furniture Plastic Hazardous

 

All Maintenance operations are based at 202 West Spring Street.
