Maintenance and Operations

The Maintenance and Operations Department of Elkin City Schools is dedicated to ensuring that our facilities and grounds provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and the community. From routine upkeep to major projects, the team works diligently to maintain the functionality and appearance of all district properties. 


This department is also responsible for managing repairs, overseeing construction, and ensuring that all buildings and systems meet safety and compliance standards. 


With a focus on efficiency and excellence, the Maintenance and Operations team plays a vital role in supporting the district’s mission of delivering high-quality education in a well-maintained setting.

 

Oversees the repair and maintenance, repair, and operation for all school system facilities including but not limited to:

 

  • Elkin Elementary
  • Elkin Middle
  • Elkin High
  • Administrative Office
  • Sports Fields
  • Gymnasiums
  • Auditoriums
Responsibilities may include:
 
Electrical Maintenance
  • Service & Repair
  • Replace & Rebuild
  • Regular scheduled inspections 
Energy & Environmental Management
  • Promote and encouraging energy performance
Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC)
  • Preventative Maintenance 
  • Filter checks and changes
  • Refrigeration equipment
Household ~Maintenance ~ General Repair ~ Installation

    • Lights

    • Restroom
