Welcome to the Finance Department of Elkin City Schools. Mrs. Rachel Creasy serves as the Chief Finance Officer of Elkin City Schools Finance Department, where fiscal responsibility meets educational excellence.

This department oversees the financial operations of the school district, encompassing budgeting, procurement, accounting, payroll, accounts payable, internal auditing, management of fixed assets, and treasury functions.

The finance department also establishes procedures to ensure compliance with financial laws, regulations, and requirements, as well as adherence to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and standard business practices. Provides guidance to the Board of Education and administrators on managing financial resources and participates in monthly board of education financial planning for the operating budget and assists in preparing facilities plans.
