Assistant Principal for Elkin Elementary School
Mr. Tyler Robbins grew up in Elkin and graduated from Elkin City Schools in 2012. Mr. Robbins taught Earth and Environmental and Biology at North Wilkes High School for two years and spent six years teaching 8th Grade Science at Elkin Middle School.
Mr. Tyler Robbins was named Elkin City Schools 2024-2025 district "Julia Holthouser Richards" Teacher of the Year.
Mr. Robbins joined our Elkin City Schools family in 2018 as a middle school science teacher. Robbins exemplifies excellence in teaching and is an exceptional educator. Through innovative instruction, tireless dedication, and profound compassion, Mr. Robbins has gone above and beyond to ignite a love for learning in their students.
His innovative approaches, leadership qualities, and commitment has set a standard of educational excellence for the entire profession.
Mr. Robbins also helped coached High School Football during his time at the middle school. In January 2025 he joined Elkin Elementary as the Assistant Principal and serves in the Principal Fellows Program through App State.

He will be finishing his Masters degree in School Administration through App State in May 2026.
