Healthcare and Manufacturing Career Summer Workshop for Teachers

Calling ALL Educators!

This year’s Educator Exchange is LAUNCHING two dynamic tracks!

In partnership with Surry-Yadkin Works, Driving Our Future, Surry County, and the Surry County Economic Development Partnership, we are excited to announce the North Carolina Educator Exchange.

This program gives teachers the opportunity to explore regional healthcare and manufacturing careers, connect directly with local employers, and gain resources to help embed career-aligned skill development into their classroom instruction.

PROGRAM BENEFITS

Participants will receive:

• $200 stipend.
• 1.0 CEUs for participation.

KICK-OFF DINNER

Location: Surry Community College. All participants are required to attend the dinner corresponding to their track.

• Healthcare Track: April 20th, 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
• Manufacturing Track: April 28th, 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

WORKSHOP DATES

Participants should choose one date within their selected track:

Healthcare Track Options

• June 10th: Mt. Airy Healthcare Practices.
• July 9th: Dobson/Yadkinville Healthcare Practices.
• July 23rd: Elkin Healthcare Practices.

Manufacturing Track Options

• June 19th: Mt. Airy Businesses.
• July 20th: Yadkinville Businesses.
