We are very excited to offer new training for all of our Substitute Teachers in Elkin City Schools. This will be mandatory training in order to be an approved sub for Elkin City Schools. 

 

The VIRTUAL training is offered by the App-Garden University. There are many benefits to you as a sub such as the ability to train anytime and anywhere you have access to internet. It is so important that we as a district keep you current on the board policies and procedures as well as giving you great tips and ideas for being a successful substitute teacher. This training is required of all subs in order for our district to meet compliance requirements.

 

There are four courses offered:

Elkin City Schools NC Orientation Course with Effective Teacher Training v.19 $49.00

This course is for new substitutes who do not have a teaching license or have not completed an approved substitute teacher training program.

Elkin City Schools NC Substitute Orientation Course v.19 $39.00

This course is for new substitutes who hold a teaching license or have completed an approved substitute teacher training program.

 

Elkin City Schools NC Effective Substitute Teacher Training v.18 $29.00

This course is for substitutes who do not hold a teaching license or who have not completed an approved substitute teacher training program.

 

In addition to your district's courses there is an introduction video which explains how to navigate through the courses and how to print your certificate. Watch this video first!

 

Once you complete this training course you may print a certificate of completion to keep for your record. The district office will be sent a report of your completion and this will also be a record of your intent to sub this year.

 

You may review the course as many times as you feel necessary within your one year enrollment in the course which begins on the date of the purchase. You will go to the following link to purchase the Elkin City Schools Substitute Teacher training.
