Elkin City Schools is looking forward to observing Red Ribbon Week next week, October 24th-28th.

This is our call to action to speak out in support of healthy choices.  It also serves as a reminder that we are all empowered with shaping communities around us through positivity, bravery and strength.

We have several activities happening next week as we celebrate Red Ribbon Week. Check out what each school is doing below.

ELKIN ELEMENTARY

Each day will have a dress-up theme
Each morning WELK broadcast will have information related to Red Ribbon Week
School Resource Officer will be visiting each classroom to share safety lessons with our students

10-24 Red Out Drugs” Day (Wear red)
10-25 Into the Future Without Drugs” Day (Dress as your future self)
10-25 “Stand Out Against Drugs” Day (Wear your most unique socks)
10-26 “Too Fit for Drugs” Day (Dress like a PE teacher)
10-27 “We Are Elkin! We Are Drug Free!” Day (Wear blue & gold)

ELKIN HIGH
 
10-25 - Red Ribbon Week Assembly featuring guest speaker. 
All students are encouraged to wear red.
 
10-27 - Charlotte Reeves, M.A., CPSS, Surry County Office of Substance Abuse Recovery, will be on site during smart breakfast (in the auditorium lobby) to hand out information.
