What is Career and Technical Education (CTE)?
Career and Technical Education (CTE) is all about giving purpose to learning by connection what happens in the classroom to real-world skills and practical knowledge.
Our mission is to empower all students to become successful citizens, workers, and leaders in a global economy. CTE provides a powerful pathway to achieve this by emphasizing:
- Real-World Relevance: CTE ensures school is more relevant by emphasizing practical skills that directly apply to future careers and life.
- Essential Skills: Programs contribute to broad educational achievement, strengthening basic skills like reading, writing, and mathematics while cultivating critical soft skills.
