Welcome to our Career and Technical Education department.

My name is Danna Carpenter and I am proud to serve as Elkin City Schools Career and Technical Education Director.  Elkin High School has a rich tradition of high academic success in the CTE program. CTE is education that directly prepares students for high wage, high demand careers.  

Teachers are helping prepare the future workforce by providing students with relevant classroom experiences, opportunities to earn certifications and credentials, or through internship opportunities. 

Elkin offers a variety of courses in Business, Finance, and Marketing Education, Career Development, Computer Science and Information Technology Education, Family and Consumer Sciences, Health Science Education, and Trade, Technology, Engineering, and Industrial Education. 

CTE is paving the path for the future and I am excited to provide these opportunities to our students.
