Welcome to the Student Services department.

My name is Tracee McManus and I serve as the Director of Student Services and Director of Testing & Accountability for Elkin City Schools.  I began my career in Elkin City Schools after serving in Wilkes County Schools for fifteen years.  I received my Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Appalachian State University.  

I worked for seven years as an Occupational Course of Study teacher at East Wilkes High School.  During that time, I also received my National Board Certification and Master of Arts in Special Education from Appalachian State University.  

After teaching, I moved to the Wilkes County Board of Education and worked as an Exceptional Children's Program Specialist before becoming the Director of Exception Children.  I also have an add-on licensure in School Administration.  My love for special education has always guided me throughout my career.

I am married to Ronnie McManus and I have two children; Haley and Caleb.  I am blessed beyond measure.  In my spare time, I enjoy attending church where my husband pastors, watching my daughter play softball, and watching my son get into "mischief".  I am thankful for my job with Elkin City Schools.
