About Beth Felts...
Hello Elkin Family. My name is Beth Felts and I am proud to serve as the Elkin City Schools Career & Technical Education Director.
I began my career with Elkin City Schools in 2006 serving as an administrative assistant to the Assistant Superintendent. Upon completion of my degree in business education, I began teaching computer skills at Elkin Elementary School. Within the next couple years, I transitioned to Elkin High School where I continued to teach a variety of business and graphic design courses such as Business Law, Project Management, and Adobe Visual Design. During these years of teaching, I continued in my own educational growth by earning Master's Degrees in both Instructional Technology and Educational Leadership and Administration. I began serving the school district as the Career & Technical Education Director on July 1, 2017.
I moved to the Foothills/Piedmont area in 2000 from Sandusky, Ohio and immediately felt at home. I have three children; two of which are students at Elkin High School. Zach is a current sophomore and Kayla began her high school career as a freshman. My husband and I are therapeutic foster parents providing safety and stability to children in need throughout North Carolina. I strive to remain active in both the school and community and leave a legacy of encouragement to others.
It is my vision for the Career & Technical Education Department to see that every student is prepared for a successful future in both college and a career of his/her own choosing.
If I can ever be of any service to you, your family, or the Elkin Community, please reach out to me. My email is [email protected] or Mobile Number is 336.469.1472.
